Here’s the situation (pun intended): A&F is totally embarrassed by Mike Sorrentino (“The Situation” on MTV’s Jersey Shore) and does not want him wearing their brand at the club or in his daily GTL (Gym, Tan, Laundry) routine. Apparently, A&F feels that Sorrentino doesn’t reflect the image that the brand seeks to portray and is willing to pay him to make sure he doesn’t wear their products. But, a year ago, according to Sorrentino, A&F had branded one of their top-selling shirts as the “Fitchuation.” Whether this is all a PR stunt or not, we have to point out that Mike Sorrentino isn’t really that far off from the usual guys A&F has modeling their clothes. Buff, tan, and a total player? Check, check, and, most unfortunately, check.
