As summer is coming to an end, I can’t help but to be in full denial. I think it is safe to say that every girl feels prettier during the summer season because she is tan, living in bikinis and living in beautiful, warm weather. Although I am sad that summer is ending, as it is my favorite season, I have found a little bit of help to keep my hair sun kissed as we enter the cooler season of football, cute boots, cardigans and scarves. The amazing products I’ve found are a part of John Frieda’s Go Blonder line. First, I start off just buying the spray. What is very important to know before running out to make this purchase is that you must have hair on the blonder side. Personally, I have dirty blonde hair so it worked just fine, but I have been told that the product will turn brunette hair orange-y, which no one wants!
After getting out of the shower, I brush my hair and then wrap it up in a towel while I change. By that time, I spray the Go Blonder spray throughout my hair and then brush it again to try and distribute it evenly. Since the spray is heat activated, I use a blow dryer to dry my hair. I usually don’t straighten my hair, but the box says that the straightener will increase the heat and, therefore, make the product work better. Regardless, I’ve found that the product works just fine with the blow dryer. I also spray this in my hair at the beach after I get out of the ocean and let the sun work its magic!
Of course, as best friends, you share everything, so my best friend has decided to try the product. After a quick trip to Walmart (I found this to be the cheapest carrier, but Target, CVS and most stores have it) we found that John Freida also has a Go Blonder shampoo and conditioner! As the true friend that I am, I decided I would let my bff buy it first and see how well it works! Well it worked great, so I did buy the shampoo and conditioner, and I love all three products! They are bringing out my natural highlights and truly giving my hair a sun kissed look!
These products can be used for a variety of things. I’ve used them to bring out my highlights, make my hair lighter and make it look like I’ve just gotten back from the beach. My roommate, who originally introduced me to the spray, has even used it to put off getting her hair highlighted! It works great for her since she apples the spray to her roots and makes her roots blend in with the rest of her hair.
So whether you already have highlights or you’ve never dyed your hair, these products are great to keep summer with you for as long as you can!
