Anyone in the Northeast can echo my sentiments- it’s neither summer nor fall right now. One minute, I’m experiencing 73 degree weather, and I’m outside in shorts and sandals, but by the time I leave my next class, it’s 50 degrees and I’m wearing someone else’s Northface that just happened to be left behind in my apartment. It’s getting really hard to stay up to date on the trends in terms of how I dress when I don’t even know what to expect outside. Luckily for all of us, the fashion idols have heard my cries and have come out with the perfect piece to transition into Fall, and this one is something that can be an investment for winter and early spring too! Don’t know what I’m talking about? Well, take a look at Kim Kardashian…
As it has been for many seasons, flowing sweaters and chunky knits are here to stay- and thank goodness! As the temperature plummets, there’s nothing better than comfy, cozy and cute! That’s not the trend we’re crazy for this week, though. The obsession is all about thigh high boots! Typically seen as something that can only be worn late at night, thigh high boots are making mainstream appearances in ways that are so classy you can even throw those boots on for work.

Ciara looks more put together with a tall pair of boots, making her comfortable ensemble look ready for a busy day.
Normally, I’m reluctant to follow any trend that involves tall footwear, just because that usually means it’s an expensive proposition. But this season, there are styles that can easily be made affordable, even just by setting aside ten dollars a week for four weeks! Check out these gorgeous boots brought to you by Wanted Shoes.
So you’re probably wondering how you can wear boots like these ,since they’re almost an entire outfit in and of themselves. It’s not as hard as it seems! Over the knee and thigh high boots are very versatile and can be worn with a variety of ensembles. Just last weekend, I wore those gray boots you see above with a pair of black leggings and a baggy t shirt to go run some errands. I instantly felt like less of a slob, and more put together, even though I was still going out in public in my relaxation clothes!
You can also pair those boots with a dress like Kelly Clarkson’s. It’s the perfect mix of conservative yet dressed up!
More than that though, these boots appear to have a magical effect on jeans, especially dark wash pairs! Even simple pairs of pants, like the one’s Isabel Marant is wearing here, seem to dress themselves up with a pair of high boots. This is the ultimate piece for any college girl who has work during the day and has to go to class too- comfort and style while looking professional!
This season, save your money and invest in a nice pair of thigh high boots! Not only will they keep your legs warm with the rapidly cooling temperatures, but they’ll keep you looking chic, classy and all around fabulous!
