On October 20th, Delta Delta Delta at Southwestern University paired with Rent the Runway to host “Catwalk to End Fat Talk,” a fashion show held to raise money and awareness as a part of Tri Delta’s national Fat Talk Free Week. The fashion show featured day looks provided by Lilly Pulitzer and evening looks provided by Rent the Runway. The models in the show were representatives from over 20 student organizations of all different shapes and sizes. Over 200 people came out to cheer on the girls as they walked down the catwalk.

Catwalk to End Fat Talk was held outside on Southwestern’s beautiful campus. Attendees of the fashion show received “swag bags” with samples from a local hair salon, coupons to local shops, and a promo code for their first rental after they signed up for Rent the Runway.

The event was a huge success in uplifting everyone’s spirits, making a group of women feel their most gorgeous, and most importantly, beginning to change the campus culture to value women for more than their physical appearance. The event also raised over $2,000 for the National Eating Disorders Association, so all the great fashion was for a good cause!
