The first and only time (so far) that I have seen David Guetta was at this past year’s Electric Zoo Festival on Randall’s Island. Sure, I had heard his amazing collaborations with various artists and DJs, but I never had the opportunity to dance to his music, live, with thousands of other fans.
Of course during these huge music festivals it is nearly impossible to see every one of the incredible artists playing at the different stages, but (in my head, at least) the goal is to see and dance to as many sets as possible! In order to maximize the number of sets we heard, we split up the David Guetta time block between him and two other DJs. #RaveGirlProblems for sure. However, spending the majority of the time block at the main stage with Guetta was our best call, by far! I completely understand why he is known internationally as the number one DJ.
Pause. Rewind. Let’s give this musical genius a proper introduction. This French producer and DJ was born Pierre David Guetta and initially DJed in nightclubs. This degree of talent, however, ultimately branched out much further than he probably thought was ever possible. We all remember his chart-topping hits “When Love Takes Over” (featuring Kelly Rowland), “Gettin’ Over You” (featuring Chris Willis, Fergie & LMFAO) and “Sexy Bitch” (featuring Akon). If you have not already had the chance to listen to his newest album, please hop on iTunes right after this article and check it out. By collaborating with so many different artists, he has certainly facilitated the Electronic Dance Music Movement. I know Christmas and Hannukah have passed, but the gift giving is not over just yet! I have a present for all of you eager beavers… David Guetta’s Electric Zoo set!
As previously mentioned, this award winning DJ and producer, is undeniably one of the strongest figures of electronic dance music in the world. Now pay attention really closely…HE IS HEADLINING WINTER WHITE TOUR! So for those of you are within driving, walking, or horse and buggy distance from any of the locations, please jump on whichever is the most suitable form of transportation and be sure to be there when he drops his incredible mixes. With ticket prices this low, there is no way you can logically explain why you aren’t attending these festivities.
As a reminder, the requested attire for this EDM tour is white, so find a dress on renttherunway.com, order a clean pair of white fluffies, stock up on some white heart-shaped sunglasses, and I will see you at the show! If you find me I’ll have RTR coupons!! All the more reason to attend. Seriously- WHAT COULD BE BETTER!?
Oh P.S. If any of you were at that Fedde Le Grand show at Pacha back in December, I hope you were paying attention:
