Sparkly nails are a trend I have been absolutely loving. A complete, all over glitter-tastic manicure worked great for the holiday season but for something more versatile, and slightly subtle, try a design with just touch of sparkle. What’s great about this trend is it is very easy to get creative without spending a lot of money. Instead of buying a bunch of glitter polishes, just stop by an art supply or craft store and pick up some glitter in your favorite colors. I love Martha Stewart’s fine glitter, which you can even get in packs of 24 for around $20, like this set. You then only need a bottle of clear polish and you can also get a smaller brush for details. Make sure you paint on several coats of clear polish over the glitter when you finish.
Here are a few inspirations for looks you can recreate that will work through the rest of winter and into the spring and summer seasons, as well.
Try painting your nails with a fun color and then sprinkle glitter only on the ring finger. Mix or match colors and the amount of glitter you use for a unique look you love.
Sprinkle glitter more loosely on each nail to add some glam to the base color you choose. You can also use a more fine or larger size glitter depending on the look you like.
Use a smaller brush to create small, pretty details that sparkle like these.
