Valentine’s Day is the holiday you love to hate. Whether you’re single or taken, Hallmark will find a way to get under your skin. The Runway Reps at DePauw University wanted to host an event that made girls look forward to Valentine’s Day. Our mixer (co-hosted with DePauw’s Her Campus branch) united DePauw gals by giving everyone an excuse to celebrate. Flirty dresses and sparkly accessories transformed this lackluster holiday from “Singles’ Awareness Day” to “Fashion Awareness Day.”

What girl doesn’t love an excuse to dress up? Our DePauw RTR team gave them one! Every girl who rented got to reap the benefits of their purchase. We made goodie bags for all the girls who rented. They didn’t need a boyfriend in order to be showered with gifts. From 8-10pm, we offered cookies, candy and endless compliments.

Overall, the night was a huge success, and guess what—even a few guys showed up! Who knows, maybe they’ll find something to rent for their special someone 
The campus is definitely taking note of Rent The Runways sudden presence, and rentals have skyrocketed since September. With a new season about to turn, we can only imagine what kinds of styles, colors and cuts we’ll be seeing around town and at events. Looks like we have a promising next few months ahead of us, and we can’t wait to spread the word.
