As soon as I stepped out of the airport here in Melbourne, Australia, I knew I had come to the right place. The fashion here is amazing. Since day one, I’ve been overly inspired by all of the fashion-forward styles I’ve seen around campus, the mall, the city… you get the point! Every single shop is filled with pieces I could only dream of fitting into my suitcase and bringing back home.

The seasons in Australia are reversed from North America. I arrived towards the end of summer, which has made me that much more excited to experiment with all of these new trends when I return home in a few months. This is also great because it gives you time to search for all of your must-haves for Summer 2012.

One of the most popular trends I’ve seen here is the “Mullet Skirt.” I do understand why you might feel hesitant at the idea of a “Mullet Skirt,” but trust me, it’s in. Also known as the “High-Low” Skirt, every girl must have one to complete her summer wardrobe. The “Mullet Skirt” is extremely versatile, and brilliantly showcases your beautiful legs and fabulous shoes with a twist.

Some of Hollywood’s A-list celebrities have stepped out successfully debuting this new trend.
