Twitter is apart of everyday life on campus, for me, it’s primarily how I connect to the world inside and outside my college walls. I love the connection that I can have with celebrities and with my friends who don’t go to school with me, and those people that I don’t keep in touch. Twitter is a great, simple way to stay connected. I love how I can follow people like Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus, and other A-list celebrities. I like when they post pictures from behind the scenes or tweet about things that you wouldn’t usually read in magazines. Because I am such an avid twitter user I thought that I should share five favorite celebrities/ designers that I think are worth following.
1. Rachel Zoe @RachelZoe
Rachel always tweets about new collections that were just released, about people she was hanging out with, new designers that we (her followers) have to check out. She is great about keeping me up to date with fashion and for introducing me to new styles and brands. One thing that I love most about Rachel Zoe is that if you have a fashion question and need her expertise, you tweet her a picture and she will respond! Sometimes she will even retweet it to all her followers and we all can see the problem and how to fix it for ourselves! She really connects to her followers.
2. Marc Jacobs Intl @MarcJacobsIntl
Marc Jacobs was especially good during fashion week, as were most designer twitters, but I always look forward to him because he post pictures from their photo shoots, pictures of a model before she goes out on the runway, and new pieces that he has just released. I honestly feel like we are friends! I highly recommend Marc Jacobs.
3. Kim Kardashian @KimKardashian
Kim is a huge tweeter, she tweets all the time about her family, her company and her friends. It is fun to follow her because of how often she tweets. I like looking at her pictures of her and Kourtney out at a club or just hanging out at home watching a movie. She seems just like me and my friends which is one of the reasons I like to follow her.
4. Taylor Swift @taylorswift13
I love following her because I love her music, and because she is my age. I think following a celebrity that is your age is good because you can look at someone just like you experiencing life differently! Taylor tweets pictures from her concerts! I was at one of her concerts and I was checking twitter before she came out and she had tweeted a picture from behind the scenes. She also tweets pictures of the audience, I’ve seen her take a picture while on stage of the audience screaming with their arms up singing her songs!
5. Lady Gaga @ladygaga
She is great to follow because she very often tweets positive messages, or how she misses her “monsters.” She tweets in all caps A LOT which is fun; it adds some personality with her tweet! She always gets excited before a show, and you can see it in the tweet because IT WILL LOOK LIKE THIS!!!!! She is very expressive.
