As a girl from Seattle with dreams of going to the big city, I could not have been more excited for my trip to New York City! I have been wanting to go my whole life and even though I only had four days, I jam packed them with as many sights as I could. What I found was that I was navigating around New York by landmarks I had seen in movies! So here are some of my top-movie-spot picks:

Movie: Enchanted

Place: Central Park

So gorgeous on a sunny day!

You know that scene where they are singing and dancing around the most gorgeous fountain you have ever seen? Yea!? I did that! Minus the cute men.

Movie: Sleepless in Seattle

Place: Empire State Building

The end of the movie is the best where she is running up to the top and doesn’t see anyone there and then…oh I won’t ruin it for you if you haven’t seen it (if you haven’t, shame on you! Go netflix it now!). But I recommend going at night like Meg Ryan’s character did. The lights were so pretty and the line was pretty non-existent.

Movie: Hitch

Place: Bronze Bull Statue

Unfortunately, there was a gate around it so we could not take the “Hitch Picture,” but definitely cool to see, though smaller than I expected!

Movie: Bride Wars

Place: The Plaza

Now I know why getting married at the Plaza is such a dream location!

When I walked into this amazing hotel my jaw really did drop. It is quite spectacular…

Movie: National Treasure

Place: Trinity Church

"Heere at the Wall"

My step-dad and I loved all the history we encountered in NYC. The graveyard attached to the church was quite spooky too! All that was missing was the treasure map…

Movie: Sex and the City

Place: The New York Public Library

Waiting on the steps for Mr. Big

The *almost* wedding took place here and now I see why! What a grand backdrop to get married at for book junkies.

And there you have it! With  never having been to NYC, navigating by what we knew, which was movie scenes, seemed like the best way to see things. And it was!
