As SocialStudiesDC says in Shit People in DC Say1, “[DC has] the best brunch scene in the states – well, aside from New York.” And in that fashion (pun intended), the George Washington team threw their first Rent the Runway Trunk Show: Brunch Edition. On Easter afternoon, George Washington Campus Reps greeted guests at the Alpha Delta Pi sorority2 house and signed up attendees for an exclusive promo code. GW Team Members also helped non – members create their own Rent the Runway account. People were then welcomed into the living room where they casually chatted with the reps and GW students modeling a selection of some designer dresses RTR has to offer.

Students enjoyed a spread of mini cupcakes catered by Georgetown Cupcake3 of the popular TLC show D.C. Cupcakes and home brewed pink lemonade. Another table held free RTR goodies, including sunglasses, stickers, nail polish, and twist bands as well as a basket for donations to the Ronald McDonald House Charity4.
The event was a PR success – our guests where excited about their new RTR goods, showing off their twist bands and sunglasses all over campus, and our student models gushed about their Cinderella experience.
