I’m far from a jealous person. But as the temperature slowly starts to fall here in Australia, it is on the rise back in the States. I’m not a fan of cold weather, never have been, never will be. Although I will get my fair share of summer when I return, I’ve been struggling to find key transition pieces that will serve me well in all types of weather. Of course I have to limit myself with what I can bring home, so I’ve been on the hunt for quality new additions to my wardrobe that are worth my precious suitcase space. I’ve always been a fan of shoes. Although I do believe a girl can never have too many pairs of heels, ballet flats have their own unique qualities about them that have lately proven to be the perfect finishing touch for every outfit. Recently around campus, I’ve noticed a popular trend- high-waist skirt, printed top, cardigan, tights, and ballet flats. This look is comfortable, put-together yet stylish, and the perfect outfit for a full day of classes. I gravitate more towards brightly colored hues (especially in the warmer months), as you can see in my some of my favorite ballet flats out right now.

Another bonus with ballet flats, you can dress them up or down. So don’t be afraid to pair them with one of your favorite RTR dresses and a statement necklace!
