The school year has come to a close and you’ve just finished up your final exams. Congrats! Now that you’re moving out of the dorms and getting ready for the plans you’ve made this summer, here’s the important question: What are you going to wear to all of those summer barbecues and events?? Well, ladies, that’s what we’re here for! Check out four fun trends below that will help make your summer one of the best yet (sartorially, that is)!

1. Bold, Bright Color – A bold piece like this blouse from H&M is the perfect summer staple.  A bold, bright color (or even a neon) will add the perfect pop to your neutrals and can be used as a color-blocking piece.  Wear it with jeans, shorts, or tucked into a high-waisted skirt.

2. Pastels – Pastels can be worn in loose, breezy shapes, or you can give these sweet colors some edge by wearing them in a tough, structured shape like this motorcycle jacket from Forever21.

3. Stacked Bracelets - Championed by bloggers like Leandra Medine, a.k.a The Man Repeller, the “arm party” is officially a trend, ladies. This is one trend that is easy to make your own: just stack as many bracelets on your wrist as you like. They can be dainty and precious or a little more “sailor” and nostalgic, like this bracelet from Madewell.

4. Denim – With new iterations in color and pattern (sometimes both), denim has seen a major revival in the past year and this trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Add a denim jacket for those cooler nights downtown, or go all-out with a Canadian tuxedo like this jacket-and-jeans combo from Zara.
