Now that the 2012 Cannes Film Festival is over, we’ve had enough to truly admire the splendor that the many red carpet events bring to every girl across the world. I know here at the Rent The Runway office we’ve spent tons of time eyeing and then preceding to gush over everything from the dresses to the make-up. Mostly we have been talking about hair and trying different looks out in the office.

Wavy and Down

Berenice Bejo settled on this wavy hairstyle. It has the boho ease that is appropriate for the dress but a volume and movement that is sexy. A curling or sleeping in relaxed braids is a really easy way to get this hairstyle though I suggest avoiding it during humid weather.

Hair Down with a Center Part

Anja Rubik wore her hair with a center part and let her hair relax. Adding a relaxed curl softens the center part though maybe fashion girl types rock this look with slick straight hair. This look is great for the office or a formal event.

Slick Back Ballet Bun

Diane Kruger (a favorite around the office) chose a slick back ballet bun. This look makes her look poised and accentuates her beautiful fact and the details of her dress. This look is really easy. Gather your hair on top of your head using a fine comb and use a hair tie to secure it into a ponytail. Take the same comb and backcomb your ponytail in order to create volume. Brush it through in order to smooth out the hair a bit. Twist the hair and wrap it around the base of the hair tie. Use bobby pins to secure it. You’re going to want to smooth the flyaways with some hair spray.
