Game of Thrones has been a must see HBO television show ever since it aired April of 2011. Based on George R.R. Martin’s best selling series, the show is all anyone can talk about. According to Time Magazine, “Thrones is unsentimental and often brutal. It’s also shaping up to be the most immersive grownup adventure TV has produced since Lost.”

I started Game of Thrones when it aired last spring and I was mesmerized. The medieval lure of the show draws you back in time and keeps you wanting more. I have never been that interested in action filled violent shows but this is different. You become consumed with the characters, either hating them (Joffrey Baratheon) or praying for their survival (Ned Stark), it’s a show that will keep you on your toes till the very end.

James Poniewozik, writer for Time Magazine states, “it’s hard to resist taking the uncertain plunge. Watching Game of Thrones is like falling into a gorgeous, stained tapestry. This epic, unflinching fantasy noir takes our preconceptions of chivalry, nobility and magic and gets medieval on them.”
