F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel, The Great Gatsby, is being turned into a movie yet again. Baz Luhrman’s screen adaptation of The Great Gatsby featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Toby Maguire is sure to catch the attention of fans everywhere. Leonardo DiCaprio has been a fan favorite ever since his debut in Titanic and will draw attention from all different age groups to see this remake.
The Great Gatsby takes place in the 1920’s. It’s a story filled with tragedy and romance. I am excited to see how director, Baz Luhrman, known for film Moulin Rouge, is going to adapt The Great Gatsby. I don’t know about all of you but The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books of all time. It is the perfect definition of a classic novel that will never get old. It has everything from glamour to heartbreak. The 1920’s were definitely one of the most alluring eras. The trailer makes me want to go back in time and experience the era filled with so much passion and extravagant parties.
Leonardo DiCaprio never fails to melt the hearts of women everywhere. I for one know I’m more excited to see the movie now that he is the starring. It will be interesting to see how Luhrman’s style mixes with a classic like The Great Gatsby. I know fans of the novel are really excited for this modern remake and I hope it turns out to be everything it is hyped up to be. I don’t see how anything could go wrong with heartthrobs Leonardo DiCaprio and Toby Maguire in the same film.
