Looking to lose that Freshman 15 you gained last winter?  Nutrition expert Lisa Defazio, a registered dietician, gives us 4 tips to lose those first 5 pounds!

  1. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables – nobody has ever become overweight from eating too many veggies!  And drink lots of water to flush out extra waste products in your body.
  2. Avoid the deadly seven: ice cream, cheese, red meat, salad dressing, fried food, soda, and blended coffee drinks.
  3. Cut your daily diet by 500 calories.  Seven days times 500 calories = 35oo calories = 1 pound of fat off your new hot bod!!
  4. Exercise 5 days a week, 45 minutes at a time.  Exercise will cut sugar and fat cravings
