It’s that time, ladies…  Summer is here, so that only means one thing: It’s time to take off those clothes and step out into the sunny beaches!

Some of us love this time of year. Ever since Christmas break, we’ve been working out daily to get that perfect beach body (among the regular lay-outs sessions). But others of us hate it. The rest of us are too lazy to go to the gym, and don’t bother lying out. Don’t fear, though. Embrace your body shape and your paleness because here are some easy tips to look good at the beach… no matter what!

Find a bathing suit that fits your body
This is probably one of the most important things to be sure of. Nothing is worse than feeling like your top is too big or your bikini bottom is too small. You feel uncomfortable, and look it, too.

If you have a big chest, don’t be afraid to flaunt it, but don’t overdo it, either.  If you have a small upper body, find a cute strapless top! This will hide the middle area of your chest, creating the illusion that you have a bigger chest than you really do. To find the right bottom, it’s just as simple as finding a bathing suit that fits perfectly, no matter what body shape you are. If you have a bottom that is too big, but don’t feel like buying a new one, you can always scrunch the back of it. You can see how here.

Keep it simple
Nothing is weirder than seeing someone who straightened their hair and put on makeup for the beach. Not only does this make you look silly, but it also is a waste of time. If you have bad skin or bags under your eyes, just put on a cute pair of sunglasses. If you are afraid of a raccoon tan, get a cute hat! The shade will soften your facial features as well. When it comes to your hair, let it be natural. Nothing is better than beautiful beach waves. If you have frizzy or curly hair, tighten it up in a bun!

If you are uncomfortable in a bathing suit, rock a cute cover-up
Rent the Runway has perfect outfits that are beach appropriate. This Erin by Erin Fetherston dress would be perfect for a breezy walk on the beach, and this Halston Heritage romper (pictured above) is youthful and fun!

Use instant tanner
It’s as easy as that! If you think your pale, using a tanning lotion that has an instant bronzer in it.
