Summer is in full swing, which for me, means trips to the beach! I am headed to the Outer Banks of North Carolina at the end of the month and every time I am shopping I convince myself of things I’ve “got to have” for my trip. These are just some of my “must haves” for a beach vacation. Feel free to share yours as well!
Mix & Match Swimsuits
Mix and match swimsuits are genius! When I go shopping for swimwear I buy three solid color bottoms – white, black, and a fun color. Then I buy about 10 different tops to match these bottoms. Not only is this a money saver but also it gives you so many more options when you head to the beach.
Oversized Hat
Big floppy straw hats are making a statement in the fashion world this season, but for me, they have always been a beach essential. I’ve never liked the look of a baseball cap on me so these are the perfect alternative to take a break from the bright summer sun.
Maxi Dress
A cute and simple maxi dress is so versatile at the beach. You can wear it as a cover up during the day then dress it up with some cute wedges and chunky jewelry for a night time outfit. I like the look of a solid black maxi with fun color accessories – it really shows off your tan! Or go bold with a fun print! Haute Hippie’s Egyptian Desert Excursion Maxi is perfect for your next beach vacation. Rent the Runway can even ship it right to your destination so it’s there when you arrive!
Oversized Tote
A large size tote bag is a must for the beach to carry everything you need for the day. As long as I can fit my beach towel, tanning lotion, and magazines, it works for me!
No matter the designer, print, or fabric, a big tote bag is a definite must have for your beach vacation!
Happy beach going! <3

I’m not big on blogs but you got my attention! And where were you when I was trying to find clothing and accessories? I could have used your fashion sense back in the 1950′s.This is a great blog!!!
