Serene mint green is the pastel of the season! If you’re like me and aren’t ready to try out trendy tangerine, then trying out one of summer’s hottest pastels is an absolute must. Hues of mint and seafoam green became a staple for the spring and summer. As a color, green represents feeling free and relaxed. It may be different than the oranges and pinks you’re used to seeing during hot summer months, but, by its very description, mint green is a color definitely suited for this season. Here are some ways I would incorporate this minty fresh hue into my wardrobe!
Simple And Sweet
One of my current favorite dresses from Rent the Runway is the Elizabeth and James Alice Adventure Dress. The mint green color is flawless and can look great on any skin tone, even pale girls like me! I love the little details on this dress, like the ruching on the one shoulder necklace and the nude belt that cinches at the waist. This dress is easy to wear and super flattering since it hugs you at the smallest part of your waist, and flows out to hide the rest.
Sheer Button-Down
The lightweight, airy feel of this sheer ModCloth button-down goes perfect with the easy, breezy minty color. The pockets add extra flair to an otherwise plain shirt and the lack of sleeves makes the top quite versatile. If you’re headed out to a formal meeting or want to dress this shirt up, you could wear a matching mint tank top underneath, pair it with a blazer, and a high-waisted pencil skirt. If you wanted to wear this top casually on a hot summer day, you could color-block this top with a neon bandeau and plain jean shorts.
Pop Of Color Pants
Pastel pants have been a huge hit in the fashion world lately. This pair of Mint Twill Skinny Pants from Forever 21 is just what every trendy girl’s closet needs. The minty color isn’t too overpowering to wear on a pant, as perhaps a fuchsia or yellow would be. For those who would like to accentuate their legs and make themselves look taller and leaner, these are a must have. The bright color will bring all the attention right to your legs. With that being said, the best way to wear these is to keep the rest of your outfit natural and relaxed. A loose-fitting plain or striped shirt is the best way to go. Keep the accessories simple, and let the mint pants do all the talking!
