Blueberries, Strawberries, Watermelon, Oh my! Summertime brings delicious foods that can brighten up your daily diet. As a Rent The Runway fan, you’re already adding flare to your style, so why not add flare to your food? Here is some advice for great ways to enjoy seasonal foods! Check out more tips at http://www.renttherunway.com/vanderbilt
-Go blueberry (or any berry) picking! It’s an old fashioned way to have a great time. Invite a few friends to grab some pails and voilà! You have a kitchen filled with this delicious treat. Some of my favorite blueberry recipes include an easy pie, added on top of pudding, or just even plain.
-Watermelon is a staple summertime food. Most people love to eat it by the slice but here is a new way to enjoy. Watermelon salsa sounds strange but it is fantastic! Dice up watermelon; add cilantro, lime juice, red onion, and jalapeno peppers to make a yummy topping to pork or chicken! People will be impressed with your adventurous cooking skills.
-After moving down South for school, I found a new appreciation for peaches. These fuzzy orange treats are perfect to quench the summertime heat. Slice them up for cobbler, pies, or any other sweet delight!
-Another great recipe to use this summer includes cantaloupe. I was never a fan of this melon until I found this technique. Cube up a cantaloupe then sprinkle with feta cheese, candied pecans, and drizzle with balsamic glaze. Yum! It’s a great way to get a serving of fruit, protein, and dairy!
Use these tips to brighten your summertime palate. Hopefully, you’ll be inspired to try old foods in a new way. Check out more ways to spice up your summer at www.renttherunway.com. Remember that a little variety can improve your lifestyle in more ways than one. Pair a great dress to flaunt your healthy body and others may be asking for these easy recipes too!
