The last couple of food posts featured healthy, summer recipes. While it is definitely a good habit to develop, eating healthy all the time gets a bit boring. Eating should be anything but boring! That’s why there are so many food critics and bloggers and TV hosts because food is simply to wonderful to ignore. Chefs (and my parents) are artists and food is their medium. Now don’t let anyone ever tell you healthy food can’t be delicious. It can! – as I have already showed you. Sometimes though, diets causes us to undervalue our food and see it as our enemy. We don’t take the time to enjoy it’s flavor and texture. (Sorry for going all food geek on you here; bear with me.) That is why I’m giving all of you dieters a break. Just for a day or a weekend (or a week) to enjoy this delectable, decadent, dressed up dessert. Ok really it’s just a simple chocolate chip cookie, but a few little tweaks and secrets make it special. If you find yourself getting fed up (no pun intended) with salads and quinoa, try out this recipe from For Me, For You. Only the finest ingredients and some patience will do when concocting this old timey favorite. Trust me, the final product is worth it. Plus, there will be enough to share with friends so you don’t feel as guilty when you indulge :)

The finished product.

The dough was almost as good as the cookies. Try not to eat it all.

And obviously here is the dry mixture.

Ahhhh, perfection.
