Summer is sadly coming to a close, and school is right around the corner. As we’re all preparing ourselves for countless hours of partying studying, we’re also concerned with piecing together the perfect tailgate outfit. Whether it’s a night game or an afternoon game, you will be looking G-O-O-D!
It’s All About the Weather
40 Degrees- Drag out your North Face vest and pair it with a sweatshirt that shows off your school spirit.
60 Degrees- You can either layer or settle for a long-sleeved shirt.
80 Degrees- Wear your cut-offs with your most spirited tank.
Is There Such a Thing as Too Much?
Although we all want to stand out in our well-put-together outfits, we have to keep in mind that the attention is supposed to be directed toward the team (not ourselves)! It’s also important to remember that you can never show TOO much support. Double Lettering may be frowned upon among some sororities, but wearing more than one spirited article of clothing will not be a concern.
So….. What Do I Wear?
Get your sorority to create tailgate jerseys, so you can all represent your school AND your sorority (looks great for recruitment) while enjoying yourself at a tailgate. Girls look adorable when they’re decked out in sportswear as long as there’s still a bit of femininity incorporated into the outfit. Spirited accessories like scarves, hats, mittens, and even socks are also a MUST. Accessorize with different articles of clothing as you would with jewelry if you were going to Formal. Just remember: Have fun with it!
