It’s Olympics season! And if you haven’t been completely addicted to the nonstop coverage of gymnastics, swimming, tennis, and just about everything under the sun, you’re truly missing out—not only on the athletics, but also the fashion! It goes without saying, the color of the moment is gold. Why? Well, it’s the symbol of sweet victory, the pinnacle of athleticism, and the eternal manifestation of a global dream. But if sports aren’t your “thing” and you want to look at it from a fashionable standpoint, gold looks good on just about everyone. You don’t have to believe me, here are just a sampling of some of the many different people who have looked fabulous in gold:
If you’re heading out in the next couple of weeks, don’t hesitate to be festive and throw on something resembling those fabulous medals, and no, I’m not talking about head-to-toe gold. A small clutch elevates even a pair of jeans and a t shirt to a sophisticated level.
Or maybe you’re the kind of girl who carries her entire life in her purse (story of my life) and can’t be reduced down to a clutch. Fear not, gold jewelry classes up everything, adding a whole new wow-factor to your look.

They say diamonds are forever, but I'm beginning to think that gold is definitely the eternal charmer
If you’re looking to unleash your inner glamazon, and trust me, we all have it in us, be bold, go for the shoes. I am in love with a pair of Loubotin stunners, with an unbelievable 6.25″ heel. Did I mention that I’m just a poor college student? But as the Olympics remind us, there is nothing wrong with having larger-than-life aspirations. Progress hinges on us having the dreams and the drive to move forward. So yes, I might be dreaming of shoes right now. No shame in that, maybe it will lead me to my own golden discovery.
So ladies, this message is universal: think big, think powerful, think gold.
Until next time,
Aishwarya
