The Olympics have come and gone but as we start a new school year I find myself looking back to the Olympics and the fashionistas of London for inspiration. I’m not talking about the athletes here; but the ladies who grace the pages of fashion magazines, TV and Pinterest with their knockout style. I decided to round up my top five London style icons in day & night looks. Enjoy!
1. Emma Watson: Emma’s look has greatly evolved from
her first days on the scene as Hermonie Granger.
For her street style look Emma nails the layered look by
pairing a button down underneath a sweater. Her sunglasses
and pointed flats add spunk. For evening Emma plays with
color and chooses a citron dress that looks amazing paired
with her red lip.
2. Kate Moss: Kate is easily one of my top style icons; she is the
queen of effortless chic! For her street stye look she mixes neutrals but
keeps it interesting by wearing different textures and patterns.
For her evening look she keeps it simple and classic in all black.
Her look exudes the saying “less is more”.
3. Kate Beckinsale: Another Kate whose style I love. Her street style
look is my favorite on this list. A motorcycle jacket adds instant
coolness to any outfit and her boots and hat only up that. Her evening
look is stunning, the sparkle on her dress could have been
“too much” but the neutral color complements it.
4. Victoria Beckham: As if you weren’t already jealous of
Victoria for her jaw dropping husband she also has killer style.
Her daytime look is a simple black dress but her use of
pink accessories take it to the next level; adding feminine
and fun touches. The evening look shows off her
amazing figure, it’s simple in all the right ways.
5. Kate Middleton: No London style list would be complete
without the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate’s day look is classic
mixed with preppy; the navy blazer paired with navy pants
is a polished monochromatic look. Her dress in the evening look
is a gorgeous color. The belt and lace shoulders add flawless
detail.
