Music and fashion icon Taylor Swift has just released the title of her upcoming album, Red, and although I’m no psychic, I predict seeing a lot of red this fall! Red is a classic, bright statement color that turns any outfit from drab to fab. Here are my picks for the fall season!
Red-Hot for a Hot Date
Fall semester is among us, and for those of us involved in Greek life this means that date parties, crush parties, semi-formals, or formals are in our near future. Although the dress is simple, the lace makes it really pop. The fit is also very flattering and everyone loves a sweetheart neckline. Cardigan For Chilly Days
My ideal autumn outfit is a comfy cardigan, my favorite pair of jeans, and Steve Madden leather boots. Opt for a dark red or burgundy cardigan and you’ll fit right in when the leaves start changing colors! Forever 21’s Open Knit Cardigan is just what we’re looking for.
Hot Pants
Colored pants are a trend carrying over from summer to fall, but with a twist on colors! Swap your neon brights for sophisticated fall hues. My favorite, of course, would be bright or dark red. This pair from H&M is great for the fall and will really accentuate your legs. Colored pants look great rolled up and cuffed with a pair of flats, or worn normally with a pair of heels. Keep your top neutral and let your pop-of-color pants do all the talking!
Tights
Tights are a must-have in the fall if you want to still get away with wearing your favorite dresses and skirts. A pair in dark red would look great paired with a little black dress and shiny black flats. It’s the perfect pop of color, and, like the red pants, it will show off and draw attention to your legs!
