I am beyond excited to be studying abroad this Fall semester in Rome, Italy! My adventure begins in about a week and a half and I am getting anxious! I want to be in Italy, not at home! One of the reasons I picked Italy to study is of course the fashion! La moda d’Italia is one of the best in the world. I can’t wait to admire the works of Valentino, Versace, Prada, Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana, Armani, and many more! I will be your go-to source for current Italian fashion while I am in Italy for three months. Italians are known to use dark colors, especially black, in a majority of their clothes. As we transition into the fall months, I am looking forward to seeing the use of dark colors in many skirts and dresses, a common trend in Italian fashion. In the early months of fall, check out the white and black contrast in suiting.
The sharp contrast of black and white will look professional, yet fashionable for suits. This trend is going to be popular in the US as well. Also, I’ll be on the look out for standout collars on blouses. In the Fall, collars are going to be distinct from the blouse or dress, whether they are embellished or a sharp contrasting color.

Audrey attends Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She is currently studying Business Administration (Marketing) with minors in Communication Studies and Italian. She will be studying in Rome Fall 2012. She is also a member of the Saint Mary's College Tennis Team. She hopes to use her marketing skills after graduation (2015) in the fashion business.
