The Big House. It defines Michigan football and Michigan sports. Our fall Saturdays are consumed by cheering our football team on surrounded by 100,000 plus people. In a sea of Maize in the student section it can be hard to stand out. How do you do you join the fun on game-day without looking tacky? Have no fear, these five classics will make you the cutest fan in the stands. Here’s some inspiration from the University of Michigan!
Every Michigan fan’s closet is made up of 3 important components.
1. The Maize shirt. A necessity, as every game in the student section is a Maize Out. If you’re not feeling a t-shirt, go for a tank top or a lax pinney. Just anything Maize on top will do! I’m a fan of this tank top from the M-Den. This year’s football t-shirt is also a constant favorite, as it comes with your student tickets. A fan favorite is also the lax pinney, with “Hail” on it or “Michigan”.
2. The accessories. There are so many options and possibilities. There are the mardi gras beads, the big beads, the big bracelets. My favorite is the bow. Nothing says “Hello I’m a Wolverine” than a big, cheery bow in your hair. I love bows.
You can pick up this bow from the M-Den. Another one of my favorite bows comes from Etsy. It’s super easy to find lots of cute one-of-a-kind bows on Etsy. They’re handmade and can be a great accessory for game day. To pick up the bow below, click on the photo!
3. Last but not least, your bottoms. Whether you’re wearing leggings and a pair of bright Michigan knee socks, or “HAIL” leggings, they have to be spirited too! My favorites to rock are definitely these HAIL leggings.
A pair of these with a cute pair of Sperry’s or sneakers and you’re all game ready. Pick up a pair in any color at Underground printing. If you’re not feeling putting together an outfit, no worries, there’s a solution for that too. Rock your Michigan spirit with a pair of overalls.
And after the game, wear something from Rent the Runway to be the cutest girl on campus!
