Getting to class on time is always an important part of a college girl’s life. Whether it means setting your alarm 3 hours early, so you have an adequate amount of times to press the snooze button before actually getting up, or laying out everything that you need for the next day before you go to sleep! But sometimes, it just seems impossible to be on time for class.

When I’m caught in a time crunch, I reach for my car keys, and drive the couple of blocks to campus. But these quick drives to class can really add up in gas money, and I am stuck in between saving money and getting to class on time.

So here is my solution that is easy on my wallet and can count as your daily exercise: Ride Your Bike!

While the weather is still nice at southern schools, and bearable up north, riding a bike to campus is a great way to save money and work out on the way to class.

Some schools offer bike rentals through their outdoor programs, like Elon University’s Elon Outdoors. And you can always bring your bike from home, which is collecting dust in your garage, back to school with you.

Good luck and work those glutes!

P.S. Don’t forget a lock for your bike!
