One of the best parts about the change of season is the change of footwear. There are many ways to add so much more to your outfit when playing with different style shoes. Boots are personally a staple in my wardrobe and because I go to school in a city, where walking up and down brick and coble-stone streets through puddles and cracks in the pavement is the cause of quite some damage to my shoes. Finding good, sturdy pairs of shoes is crucial for the fall in Boston.
Riding boots are one of the most versatile styles of boots. I suggest getting a neutral shade so you can style them with as many outfits as you can. This pair by Dolce Vita riding boots is an ultra-chic look and because the boot has two tones, they will work well with many looks. A nice pair of leather boots will instantly polish and dress-up your outfit.
This pair of combat boots from H&M is great for a more casual look for class. With a pair of jeans and an oversized sweater, these boots are super-comfortable and trendy for fall 2012. Every girl needs a good pair of combat/motorcycle boots in their closet this year!
Boots are not the only good shoe for fall, however. In the past year various styles of flats and oxfords have risen in popularity, coming in a variety of different colors and patterns to fit everyone’s style.
These oxfords that can be found at American Eagle Outfitters as well as Target stores are a must-have this fall. They are pictured here in beige but they also come in gray, black and leopard-print, if you are feeling a little more adventurous. The bright-colored soles add something special to your step as you are walking across campus! Remember that purchasing these in a lighter shade will also make them a great shoe for the springtime, as well.
